Common vibration sensors on motors

With the continuous improvement of the intelligence level and the high reliability requirements of the equipment, the online state monitoring of the drive motor and the real-time feedback of the position and speed signals tend to be standardized. Additional devices such as encoders, overspeed switches, pt00, PTC and vibration sensors The application of the motor is becoming more and more common. For motor manufacturers, it is very important to understand these additional devices and realize the organic integration with the motor. Now let's talk about the common vibration sensors on the motor in recent years.

How Vibration Sensors Work

vibration sensorIt is one of the key components of motor condition monitoring. Its function is to convert mechanical vibration into electrical energy proportional to it. Because it is actually an electromechanical energy conversion device, it is called a sensor, vibration sensor, etc.

The vibration sensor does not directly convert the original mechanical quantity into electricity, but takes the original mechanical quantity as the input quantity of the vibration sensor, and then receives it by the mechanical receiving part to form another mechanical quantity suitable for conversion, and finally converts it into electricity through the electromechanical conversion part. Therefore, the working performance of the sensor depends on mechanical reception and electromechanical conversion.

Classification of vibration sensors

According to the measurement method and the physical characteristics of the measurement process, vibration sensors are divided into 3 types: mechanical, optical and electrical.

Machinery: Convert engineering vibration parameters into mechanical signals, which are amplified, measured and recorded by the mechanical system. Commonly used instruments are lever-type vibrometers and Geiger-type vibrometers. The measurement frequency is low and the accuracy is poor, but the field test is relatively simple and convenient.

Optical type: convert engineering vibration parameters into optical signals, display and record after being amplified by the optical system.

Electric measurement type: convert engineering vibration parameters into electrical signals, display and record after being amplified by electronic circuits.

In the highly developed modern industry, it has become an inevitable development trend for modern detection technology to develop towards digitization and informatization. The front end of the test system is the sensor, which is the soul of the entire test system. In recent years, it has been listed as a cutting-edge Technology, especially the rapid development of IC technology and computer technology in recent years, has provided a good and reliable scientific and technological foundation for the development of sensors. The development of sensors is changing with each passing day. Digitalization, multi-function, and intelligence are important features of the development of modern sensors.
